4. How we use information

  • Create, secure and manage your account.
  • Scan, extract, organise, store, synchronise and restore receipt and product information.
  • Detect duplicate receipts and improve extraction quality.
  • Calculate spending, shopping, nutrition and wellness summaries.
  • Personalise explanations and AI-assisted insights using your preferences and saved information.
  • Provide support, respond to requests and communicate important service information.
  • Prevent misuse, investigate errors, maintain reliability and comply with legal obligations.

5. AI-assisted insights

Health-it may analyse receipt, product, preference and interaction data to generate explanations and suggestions. Automated outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your circumstances. They are informational only and are not medical, nutritional, financial, investment, tax, legal or safety advice. Health-it does not use these features to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

6. Our legal bases

Where UK data-protection law applies, we process information as needed to perform our contract with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as securing, maintaining and improving Health-it. Where information may reveal health-related or dietary interests, we seek explicit consent when the law requires it. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

7. Service providers and disclosures

We use service providers, including Google Cloud Platform and Firebase, for functions such as authentication, database, file storage, synchronisation, hosting, analytics and diagnostics. Apple and Google provide app distribution and may provide billing services. We may disclose information to professional advisers, a buyer or successor in a business transaction, or authorities when required by law. Providers may process information only for the relevant service and subject to applicable safeguards.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use Health-it data for third-party advertising or cross-app advertising tracking.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or your country of residence. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.

9. Retention

We retain account and Health-it content while your account remains active. When you request deletion, we normally remove the account and associated data from active systems within 30 days after verifying the request. Encrypted backup copies may remain until overwritten through the normal backup cycle, normally no longer than 90 days. We may retain limited records for longer where necessary for fraud prevention, security, accounting, disputes or a legal obligation. Those records are restricted to the relevant purpose.

10. Security

We use safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, authentication, access controls and provider security controls. No service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account credentials secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorised use.

11. Permissions and your choices

  • Camera: capture receipts or product labels when you choose to scan them.
  • Photos: select existing images for processing.
  • Notifications: receive reminders and service messages when enabled.

You can change device permissions in system settings. You can also adjust insight and notification preferences within Health-it where those controls are available.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a regulator. Contact support@beaconhub.app. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity.

UK users can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office.

13. Account deletion

You can request deletion through our Health-it account deletion page, even if you no longer have the app installed. Deleting the app from your device does not by itself delete your account.

14. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as Health-it or applicable law changes. We will publish the revised date here and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights or how we use information.
